Cassandra Monique Batie known professionally as Andra Day is an American R&B and soul singer actor and songwriter. She has been awarded various accolades like a Grammy Award a Children's and Family Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award along with nominations for the Academy Award. Andra is not simply an old school R&B singer, her gospel jazz roots and blues are displayed in a way that is both effortless and elegant. Andra Day's debut Cheers to the Fall (2015) was a top hit on the R&B/hiphop charts. Her contributions in Marshall (2017) have earned the singer the Grammy Award as well as an Academy Award. Amen (2018) Take Care of Your Troubles (2020), and her Golden Globe-winning performance in Billie Holiday, in The United States against Billie Holiday(2021) continue to build the anticipation of Day's upcoming full album. She was born Cassandra Monique Batie in Edmonds Washington Andra Day grew up within San Diego and its metropolitan area where she performed in church and enrolled at the School of Creative and Performing Arts. As she graduated from the School of Performing and Creative Arts, Day started to focus her attention on contemporary R&B and Pop, however she quickly discovered that her roots in soulful jazz were the ones she was attracted to. Kai Millard Morris, who saw a live show by Day and took her songs to the husband of Stevie Wonder, was the major success. Motown legendary Adrian Gurvitz then introduced Day to the music industry's veteran Adrian Gurvitz. Day was a part of Gurvitz's Buskin label as well as Jeffrey Evans' Buskin record company, gained a cult following on YouTube before signing with Warner Bros. in 2012. Day then released her debut track Forever Mine. DJs played it immediately on radio. After signing in 2015 with Warner Bros. Records she started working on her debut record Cheers to The Fall, featuring Adrian Gurvitz. The album included the track"Rise Up," which was the anthem for groups for justice across all over the world. Day was awarded two Grammy nominations, one of which was for Best R&B Album. In the year 2019, she released her second album The United States vs. Billie Holiday a concept album on the life of the legendary jazz singer. The United States against Billie Holiday came out in 2021. It was the same year in which she was also featured in the film Holiday. Andi matichak (born 25th August 1970) is an American actor. She made her debut in the movie Halloween in the role of Allyson, after appearing in several television shows including Orange Is the New Black (Orange Is the New Black) Park Avenue (666 Park Avenue (666 Park Avenue), Blue Bloods and Orange Is the new black. Andi Matichak, an American actress who was born on 03 May 1994 in Framingham Massachusetts United States.
