Meredith Salenger, born March 14, 1970, in Malibu California United States is one of Hollywood's most famous and wealthy actors. Jessie James Decker........................Born Jessica Rose James, Decker's somewhat exotic birthplace was a product of her being raised in a military family. Decker's military parents resided in Louisiana at the age of 9 years old. The singer won the talent contest with an original rendition of Patsy's I Want to Be a Cowboy's Sweetheart. At the age of 15, Decker was living in Georgia. She began writing songs and making frequent trips to Nashville to look for a record deal. An agent from the independently-owned label Big Yellow Dog Records heard her at 17 and started selling her songs to various labels. Decker was signed to a deal with Island/Def Jam after Mercury Records President David Massey passed her demos to L.A. Reid, head of Island/Def Jam. Jessie James released her debut album in August 2009. It was a self-titled release. Jessie James enjoyed a modest number of hits and Wanted could make it to the Top 40 on the Singles Charts. Although Decker has always believed she was an artist from the country scene, her album was made and promoted to a broader audience mind. Decker had to work hard to get control of the music she put out after her prior singles weren't popular. The second album of Decker, dubbed in the form of Daughter of a Gypsy and Sweet American Dreams by Mercury Records, was pulled after Mercury noticed the weak results of three of the singles on the country charts.
